Qatar Islamic Bank

Qatar Islamic Bank announced in response to an article published in Al – Watan newspaper in Qatar, which quoted a Financial Times article, “QInvest to sell Panmure Gordon stake” that the aforementioned article is unfounded as of date. In the statement Qatar Islamic Bank “deemed it necessary to make this clarification by virtue of transparency and disclosure.”

QInvest, an Islamic financing institution owns a 44 per cent stake in Panmure Gordon. QInvest’s is Qatar’s largest investment group reported in August strong growth, with first half revenues up 40 per cent and net profit increasing 86 per cent, compared to the first half of 2014.
